Designed and built by the eccentric Sir Bertram Clough Williams-Ellis, the village of Portmeirion has been a source of inspiration to fellow architects most notably Frank Lloyd Wright who visited his ancestral country in 1956 and stopped by. It has been used as a filming location for the cult series The Prisoner. Here I have captured The Round House and the Red House with its architectural swirls. The village has many connections to The Beatles with Paul McCartney and manager Brian Epstein visiting many times while George Harrison spent his 50th birthday there.
