I painted this scene as a commission for a lady whose mum lives over in St Paul de Vence in the South of France. The medieval village is famous for its artistic heritage, cobblestone streets, galleries, and breathtaking views, attracting artists like Chagall, Matisse, and Picasso. In the picture in the foreground there is an artist painting their own version of the scene.
