The classic view of Warwick Castle from the bridge is one of the most photographed scenes in the UK. The castle is medieval in its origins and was developed from a wooden fort which was originally built by William The Conqueror in 1068. The warmth of the stone here was achieved by the addition of a paler warmer colour alongside some darker shadows to give depth.
